He was retired from The Port Authority of N.Y. and N.J. after 35 years of service.

In addition to his wife of 34 years, he is survived by one sister, Dorothy Lancaster and her husband James of Mystic, Conn., sister in law Virginia McClure of New Haven, Conn., nephews Marvin McClure and wife Denise of Meriden, Conn., Clifton McClure and wife Sandra of Hamden, Conn., Scott Young and wife BJ of Atlanta, niece Kyndra Williams and husband George of Cheverly, Md., and goddaughter Janae&squo; Finlator of Brooklyn, N.Y.&bsp; He was predeceased by Godson Jason Fox.

A memorial service was held in Atlanta on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to Garrison Chapel Baptist Church, 416 Markham Road, Tryon, N.C. or American Diabetes Association, Attn.: Memorial Program, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Va. 22312 in Stanley&squo;s memory.
