Born May 2, 1930, in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Dean Foster and Mossie Mae Shehan Sherbert and the wife of the late Virgil Curtis Skinner. She was the owner of Skinner Tire and a member of Hayne Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Doug Skinner of Inman; a daughter, Wanda Waddell of Moore; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Irene Powers and Ruth Mattison, both of Spartanburg, and Barbara Wright of Inman.

Graveside services were held&bsp; Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Fred S. Quidley and the Rev. Andy Parker. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
