Members of the Mill Spring, Sunny View and Columbus fire departments put out a fire that destroyed a home in the Mountain Park section of the Lake Adger development on Friday morning. The new lakefront home, which was reportedly vacant at the time of the fire, was fully engulfed before the first fire engine arrived from Mill Spring.&bsp; The fire began to spread to brush and trees along the surrounding hillsides, but firefighters quickly contained the blaze.&bsp; Mill Spring Fire Chief Trent Carswell said the cause of the fire was unknown as of Friday morning, but an investigation was planned. The Polk County Sheriff&squo;s Office was at the scene to gather information.&bsp; Assistance was also provided by the Tryon and Landrum fire departments, Polk County Emergency Medical Services, and Polk County Red Cross.&bsp;&bsp;
