Bobby Lee Gilbert Jr.

Mr. Gilbert was born in Charleston, S.C., on January 9, 1954, the son of the late Bobby Lee Gilbert Sr. and Gertrude Faye (West) Gilbert of Inman, who survives him of Inman. He was the husband of Margaret Elaine (Walker) Gilbert for 35 years.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Davis of Wellford, Michelle Smith of Campobello; one brother, Eddie Gilbert of Inman; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Donnie Gilbert.

He retired from Ideal Fuel, was of the Baptist faith, a musician for 42 years, a member of the Inman Masonic Lodge #201, a Shriner and a former reserve police officer.

Funeral services were held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, on Monday May 26, 2008, with Dwayne Pruitt officiating.

Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman.

Seawright Funeral Home and Crematory of Inman was in charge of arrangements.
