The Blue Ridge Hunter Jumper Association (BRHJA) will hold its second annual Mother&squo;s Day Mini Prix Horse Show today through Sunday. The show will be held at Harmon Field.
A special ringside Mexican dinner by Foothills Barbecue will be held tomorrow night at 6 p.m. to benefit St. Luke&squo;s Hospital.
Tickets are still available for the dinner and can be purchased at the Farm House on S. Trade Street in Tryon or at the show grounds.
Last year, the BRHJA hosted the event for the benefit of Spartanburg Regional Hospital. This year, however, the fundraiser will benefit St. Luke&squo;s Hospital&squo;s digital mammography equipment.
&dquo;We&squo;re going to make this an annual thing for St. Luke&squo;s,&dquo; BRHJA fundraiser chairman Noreen Cothran said. &dquo;We&squo;re just giving back and celebrating all mothers by doing something like this.&dquo;
St. Luke Hospital officials are excited at the prospect of the fundraiser, said Carol Meeske, resource chairman for the St. Luke&squo;s Foundation.
&dquo;We felt this was a great fundraiser,&dquo; she said. &dquo;We can get a little more (for the digital mammography) than we could before.&dquo;
