Ross White

White was born in Grantwood, N.J., on Jan. 8, 1919 to John and Regina White. He graduated from Portsmouth Abbey School in 1937 and Fordham University in 1941. He served in WWII as a captain in the U.S. Army in the Pacific. His career in human resources included working for Standard Oil of New Jersey&squo;s Esso/Creole subsidiary, Celanese Corporation, Raytheon Corporation, and ITT Corporation. It had him working and living in South America, Europe and the U.S. His wife of 51 years, Eileen Leahy White, died in 1995. Ross was a devoted Catholic, an avid historian, enjoyed golf and Notre Dame Football.

He is survived by his second wife Catherine, five children Brian, Garrett, Sean, Moira and Sally, 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his sister, Gloria Kahler, and one nephew and one niece.

A memorial mass for family and friends will be held in Albany, N.Y., on July 26.
