She was the daughter of Mary Kent Sasser and the late Donald Sasser. A native of Maryland, she lived in Tryon and Landrum for the last 20 years.

The surviving family members are: a brother, George Alley of Columbus; two sisters, Kelly Alley of Auburn, Ala., Jennifer Alley of Sitka, Alaska; an aunt, Suzanne Plumly of Flat Rock; and six nieces and nephews.

Leeann was a medical assistant, having graduated from Isothermal Community College with honors. Leeann was a compassionate, spiritual human being with a marvelous sense of humor. She was deeply loved by her family and many friends and will be greatly missed.

Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services assisted the family in the care of Leeann.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Tryon Congregational Church, Melrose Ave., Tryon.
