She was the widow of Raymond Arthur Turner, to whom she had been married for 66 years.

A native of Polk County, she was born April 5, 1920, a daughter of the late James Simpson and Zettella Fletcher Wagner. She had been a member of Lyman First Baptist Church and Abner Creek Baptist Church and was presently a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class, WMU, Mission Action II, the Tweenagers and the Holly Belles Club. She was a retired seamstress and homemaker. She and her husband delivered Meals on Wheels for 16 years.

Mrs. Turner was one of 13 children, of which now only one survives, Iris Flynn of Columbus.

Surviving are two sons, D. Gerald Turner of Lyman, R. Fred Turner of Inman; two daughters, Shelby T. Denton of Duncan and Sandra T. Page of Duncan; and eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one grandson.

Spartanburg Regional Medical Center Palliative Care, Hospice Home and Rose Crest Assisted Living assisted Mrs. Turner.

Funeral services were held

3 p.m. Sunday, April 6 at Holly Springs Baptist Church, Inman, conducted by Dr. Tim Clark, the Rev. Donel Kelley and the Rev. Vernon Thornhill. Burial was in Wood Memorial Park.
