He was a native of Mooresboro, son to the late Charles Wellington &dquo;Wag&dquo; Harris Sr. and Brent Elliott Harris. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Harris served both his country and his community. C.W. spent 51 years at his family&squo;s &dquo;Harris Barber Shop&dquo; in downtown Shelby. He was a life-long member of Sandy Run Baptist Church.

A true outdoorsman, C.W. spent most of his time outside on the water or in the woods. Playing sports and enjoying the company of his friends and family was the spirit of his life. The love of his wife and her cooking was always evident by his smile.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jewel Shytle.
