A native of Campobello, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Ola Jackson Varner. Whe was a member of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by a brother, Carroll Varner of Campobello, and a sister, Elizabeth McDowell of Inman.

Graveside services were held Monday, March 10, 2008 at Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Todd Johnson.
