Community Foundation to pay for students, one adult to see “Hidden Figures”

The Polk County Community Foundation is pleased to offer assistance to Polk County Middle and High School students to attend a regularly scheduled performance of the movie “Hidden Figures” at the Tryon Theatre.

Admission price for students and one adult per student will be paid by the Foundation at the door. Regular admission is $8 for additional adults.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. There is also a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m.

Information about the movie may be obtained at the website of Tryon Theatre or from the movie’s official website. The movie tells the true story of three African-American women who played significant roles in the NASA space programs before and during the race to the moon. Starring are Octavia Spencer (who won an Academy Award for this role), Taraji Henson, Janelle Monae and Kevin Costner.
