Jim Carson’s oil painting titled “The Long View of the Gulf” has been accepted to this year’s Oil Painters of America Salon Show of Traditional Oils. The 2016 exhibition will be held at Castle Gallery Fine Art in Fort Wayne, Ind. Sept. 30-Oct 29.

The goal of the OPA for this show is to assemble the finest display of approximately 275 representational oil paintings. The focus of the jurying process is to select paintings that show the highest quality in draftsmanship, color and composition, emphasizing a diversity in representational style and subject matter.
