Roseland Community Center offers free entrepreneurship workshop

Roseland Community Center, 56 Peake Street, Tryon, will sponsor a free entrepreneurship workshop on Saturday, Oct. 24, 12–3 p.m. The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Joseph Fox, president and CEO of Fox Management Consulting Enterprises. Topics will include: “Generating a Business Idea Based on a Personal SWOT Analysis,” “Defining the Target Market,” and “Creating a Viable Business Plan.”

Dr. Fox is the former chair of business administration at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College.  He is also the former associate director of Western North Carolina Rural Entrepreneurship through Action Learning. While at N.C. REAL, Dr. Fox was responsible for entrepreneurial curriculum development, entrepreneurial site support for colleges, schools, community development centers, and local groups utilizing the REAL curriculum, entrepreneurial presentations, and staff development. Dr. Fox also participated in the PBS special, “These Kids Mean Business,” a documentary about entrepreneurial programs in the United States.
