Jessy Taylor of Landrum, S.C. and Jonathon Thomas of Sumter, S.C. were married on Saturday, April 4, in Mill Spring, N.C. The wedding was held at the home of the bride’s sister, Kina Baddorf.

Taylor is the daughter of Glenn Taylor of Spartanburg, S.C. and Charles and the late Sherry Lou Anthony of Landrum, S.C.

 

Thomas is the son of Scott and Linda Thomas of Sumter, S.C.

 

The couple met in the summer of 1998 at SeeSalt Youth Conference in Myrtle Beach, where they were both attending with their church youth groups.

 

Whitney Gosnell of Landrum, S.C., best friend of the bride, stood as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Caitlin Thomas and Chelsea Thomas of Sumter, S.C., both sisters of the groom, and Sarah McClure of Landrum, S.C., close friend of the bride. Jeremy Thomas of Sumter, S.C., brother of the groom was best man. Groomsmen were Eric Capell, Charlie Maynard and Cody Hendrick, all from Sumter, S.C. and friends of the groom. The bride was escorted by her father.

 

Reverend Jimmy “Hambone” Camp officiated the ceremony.

 

Food for the reception was provided by Southside Smokehouse in Landrum, and music was provided by Drew Jacobs of Myrtle Beach, S.C. The bride and groom shared their first dance as man and wife to the song “If It’s The Beaches” by the Avett Brothers.

After their honeymoon in Savannah, Ga., Jonathon and Jessy Thomas returned to their home in Sumter.
