Brucksch to perform at Holy Cross recital

Amy Brucksch, classical guitarist, will perform on the Bach’s Lunch Wednesdays at Noon Lenten Recital Series at Holy Cross Episcopal Church on March 4 at 12 p.m.

Formerly classical guitar professor at the University of Toledo and Ohio Arts Council touring artist, Brucksch performed on several recordings with the Masterworks Chorale and appeared with the Toledo Symphony, Toledo Opera, and TSO Chamber Players. An honors graduate in performance from the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music, she has a master’s in music education from Bowling Green State University.

Brucksch performs throughout the Southeast as a soloist and with world-renowned musicians as diverse as Celtic fiddlers, Baroque harpsichordists, classical violinists, and African percussionists.

Brucksch is active in Pan Harmonia, an independent repertory company based in Asheville that promotes music performance and education. Pan Harmonia has been nationally recognized for its unique work and superb artistry.

The Holy Cross Episcopal Church Lenten recitals are at noon on Wednesdays during the season of Lent. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend. Holy Cross Episcopal Church is located at 150 Melrose Ave., Tryon. For more information, please call the church office at 828-859-9741.
