Russian Chapel Hills Winery will celebrate Valentine’s Day, Saturday, Feb. 14, by introducing, especially for the occasion, Russian Chapel Hills Winery Merlot. Live music, a sushi tasting and a drawing for dinner for two will be part of the festivities. The event will be held from 2-6 p.m. The winery is located at 2662 Green Creek Dr.

This estate Merlot was aged 14 months in French oak barrels before being bottled. With aromas of black fruits such as black cherry and cassis, this wine has naturally soft textures and rich flavors, and pairs well with a wide array of foods. Valentine’s Day visitors to the winery will be invited to sample sushi from Hendersonville’s Umi Japanese Fine Dining, creating their own best pairings with Russian Chapel Hills wines.

Singer/songwriter Ron Moore will bring his performance of vocals and acoustic guitar as entertainment for the afternoon. A musician since the age of 16, Moore has recorded 14 albums and travels all over the world with his original songs that show a love of poetry.
