Burned tractor trailer found on Landrum tracks

A burned tractor trailer was removed from railroad tracks in Landrum last Thursday morning, according to Norfolk Southern, which owns the tracks. A representative from Norfolk Southern said they were
told around 8:30 a.m. there was an 18-wheeler on fire on the tracks and Norfolk Southern needed to halt traffic.

The tractor trailer was discovered near Hulon Road in Landrum. The tracks were closed until after the tractor trailer was removed just prior to 11 a.m. last Thursday.
