Polk Sheriff’s Office arrests two for fraudulent credit cards

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office recently took two women into custody after  discovering they had more than 226 fraudulent credit and gift cards in their
possession.

The sheriff’s office criminal interdiction team made a vehicle stop along U.S. 74 on Sept. 23.

The rental car with New York plates was traveling westbound and was following too closely, according to sheriff reports.

The sheriff’s office utilized its canine “Kimbo” who alerted them to the vehicle.

During the search, a small amount of marijuana as well as the fraudulent cards were discovered.

The driver of the vehicle, Natosha Danine Roberts, 24, was arrested and charged with felony unlawful obtaining a credit card and simple possession of marijuana,
according to sheriff reports.

The passenger of the vehicle, Helena Didonna Jordan, 20, was arrested and charged with felony unlawful obtaining a credit card, according to sheriff reports.
Roberts was released on a $12,000 bond and Jordan was released on a $6,000 bond.
