Polk County District Court results for July 30

During Polk County District Court on July 30, 2014, with Judge Laura A. Powell presiding, 190 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Garry Allen Beach was convicted of unauthorized use of motor vehicle. Beach was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Corby Dean Booker was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Booker was fined $100 and court costs.
Michael Scott Cochran was convicted of level three driving while impaired. Cochran was sentenced to 18 months unsupervised probation, three days in jail, a $250 fine and court costs.
Arica Davis was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Davis was sentenced to 11 days in jail with credit for time served.
Robert W. DeLau II was convicted of probation violation. DeLau’s probation was revoked.
Kenneth Shane Harris was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Harris was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for time served.
Jonathan L. Henderson was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia. Henderson was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for time served.
Jumaah I. Johnson was convicted of impaired equipment. Johnson was fined $40 and court costs.
Matthew Kiel Kensland was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Kensland was fined $100 and court costs.
Erika Nicole King was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. King was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Brandon James Lane was convicted of deposit litter along NC public highway. Lane was fined $100 and court costs.
Taryn L. Osborne was convicted of speeding 64 mph in a 55 mph zone. Osborne was fined $75 and court costs.
Sabrina Renee Painter was convicted of driving while license revoked impaired revocation. Painter was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Cameron Lee Scott was convicted of driving while license revoked impaired revocation. Scott was sentence to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Ashley Nicole Smith was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith was fined $100 and court costs.
