Polk district court results

During Polk County District Court on Wednesday, June 9, 2014, with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 138 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Joseph Derek Brown was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $75 fine and court costs.

Todd Randall Cobb was convicted of speeding 82 mph in a 65 mph zone and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cobb was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Darrell Donell Gary was convicted of misdemeanor larceny by trick, misdemeanor larceny and two counts of misdemeanor probation violation. Gary was sentenced to 45 days in jail and court costs for larceny by trick and larceny and sentenced to 45 days in jail for probation violation.

Cinton Marion Goings was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Goings was fined $50 and court costs.

Stasi Ann Gormley was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Gormley was fined $50 and court costs.

Scott Allen McCombe was convicted of driving while license revoked and possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. McCombe was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Linda Star Sain was convicted of misdemeanor larceny and larceny by trick. Sain was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, $33 in restitution and court cost.

Joan Frischma Vandoren was convicted of failure to notify the department of motor vehicles of address change. Vandoren was fined $50 and court costs.
