A memorial service celebrating the life of Boyd B. Barrick will be held Saturday, June 28b at 11 a.m. at the Congregational Church of Tryon, located at 210 Melrose Avenue.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; sons Richard and Bruce; grandson and wife, Thomas and Nicole; and stepchildren, March, Mark and Michael Miner.
He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Mabel, and his brother, William.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the church in Boyd’s memory will benefit St. Luke’s Foundation, Foothills Humane Society and the Guatemalan Tomorrow Fund, which he led as president for nine years, providing medical and dental care to over 2100 Chechuan Indians.
