LaurelHurst celebrates the Kentucky Derby

Published 10:00pm Thursday, May 8, 2014

It’s Kentucky Derby time. Residents came in their hats and best attire for punch and Derby Pie. Then they pulled for their horses to move ahead in the races. Annie won the first heat; Transylvania Red won the second with Tennessee Thunder winning the third. The final race was neck and neck with Tennessee Thunder winning by a nose. Racers had to battle mud in their eye, getting stung by bees, falling in holes and airplanes flying too low, but they were victorious. The Kentucky Derby has nothing on the LaurelHurst races.
