The LMS Cardinal Baseball team broke open a 1 to 1 tie game in the bottom of the fourth inning scoring 7 more runs. Landrum defeated the Campobello-Gramling Wildcats 8 to 1 at LHS on Monday, March 31.
Cree Waters picked up the win on the mound, striking out five Wildcat batters with Dalton Kuykendall and Isaiah Adderholt pitching well in relief.
Dalton Kuykendall led the Cardinals offense collecting three hits, Cree Waters had two hits, and Adam Powell, Alex Hawk, Michael Clark and Chandler Carroll added
one hit each. Zander Steele walked three more times bringing his season base on balls to a team high of 15.
Adam Powell led Landrum’s scoring crossing the plate twice and Dalton Kuykendall, Zander Steele, Michael Clark, Easton Jenkins, Chandler Carroll and Drake Taber scored one run each. The team’s record improved to five wins, one loss and two ties.
