2013 acoustic guitar building workshop at Lichty Guitars

Custom guitar builder Jay Lichty has announced dates for the 2013 small group acoustic guitar-building workshop at Lichty Guitars’ shop in Tryon. Participants build a guitar from start to finish during the 12-day workshop.

Students begin with boards of mahogany and spruce and end with strings on and tunes being played on their own traditional-style dreadnought guitar.

Workshop student David Lanik said he wouldn’t change a thing about his experience learning from Lichty.

“I’d recommend an acoustic guitar building workshop with Jay to anyone who really wants to do this right,” he said.
