Polk County Sheriff’s Office asks public’s help identifying woman

Published 5:14pm Monday, February 25, 2013

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the above pictured female. Investigators are working on a case involving numerous counts of identity theft and obtaining property under false pretense.

This woman is believed to have been frequenting businesses in Polk County in addition to Forest City and Spartanburg County, SC using a credit card not belonging to them. It is believed that the woman may have ties to the southern part of Polk County

(the  Green Creek community) based on where the card went missing and the purchases. The sheriff’s office was originally seeking two women, but got in touch with one woman and has declared her no longer a person of interest.

Anyone who may have information or be able to identify the person of interest is asked to contact Det/Sgt Randall R. Hodge with Polk County Sheriff’s Office at (828) 894-3001.
