RetroFoam of the Foothills now serving Polk County

Published 3:30pm Monday, November 12, 2012

Ray and Michelle Templin run a new, environmentally progressive business called RetroFoam of the Foothills that recently began serving Polk County.

With home energy costs increasing between 5 – 8 percent annually, families are looking for ways to reduce their costs while making additions or alterations.

RetroFoam™ is designed specifically for insulating existing wall cavities. Over time, other types of insulation have shrunk, shriveled and fallen inside the walls. The average lifespan of rolled or blown-in insulation is 10 – 15 years. RetroFoam™ becomes solid within the walls and fills all potential cavities and spaces of heat/air conditioning loss. This includes drafts that originate in electrical outlets and cracks around windows. RetroFoam also aids in stabilizing interior wall temperatures, as well as reducing outside noise.
