Polk district court results
In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Sept. 5 with Judge Athena Brooks presiding, 89 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are given as they appear in court records):
Ervin Leroy Jackson was convicted of speeding 70 mph in a 65 mph zone. Jackson was fined $20 and court costs.
Denver Jones was convicted of open container after consumption of alcohol first. Jones was fined $25 and court costs.
Amanda Marie Lammers was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. Lammers was fined $30 and court costs.
Peter Nyaguze was convicted of driving after consuming under age 21. Nyaguze was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Calvin Alexander Pyatt was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Pyatt was sentenced to 24 hours of community service and court costs.
Kent Morgan Shehan was convicted of communicating threats and domestic criminal trespassing. Shehan was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Jessica Reva Marie Pack was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Pack was fined $40.
Rodolfo R. Rodriguez was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Rodriguez was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Firas Younes Freajah was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Freajah was fined $30.
