Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will present their Winter Concert Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.

On Thursday evening, Jan. 28, the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy-CFA Orchestra Department will present its annual Winter Concert, featuring the Junior High, High School, and Honors Chamber Orchestras.

 

Directed by Mr. Eben Mann, the program will feature a variety of music including excerpts from Beethoven’s First Symphony, Edvard Grieg’s “Prelude” from Holberg Suite, Joseph Haydn’s Piano Concerto No. 11 in D Major featuring Gabriel Turner (11th grade), Leo Delibes’ “The Flower Duet” from Lakme, Felix Mendelssohn’s String Symphony No. 9 in C Major, to name a few.

 

An original composition for chamber orchestra by Gabriel Turner will be premiered as well. The public is invited to join at 7 p.m. for this free-admission concert, located at the Leitner Auditorium on the TJCA-CFA Jr. High/High School campus, 2527 US Hwy. 221A, Mooresboro, N.C. Reception to follow.
