Lawrenceville, GA – Roy B. Greene, Jr., age 78 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the Snellville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

A visitation will also be held at Petty Funeral Home in Landrum, SC at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 with interment following at 2:30 PM at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.

Mr. Greene was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and had retired from Honeywell after a 36 year career. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Kathryn Greene, Sr.; sister, Kay Perales; brother, Ira Greene; brother in law, Joe Hilson. Mr. Greene is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mickey Greene; sons and daughters in law, Bill & Cora Greene of Salisbury, NC and Brian & Heather Greene of Snellville, GA; daughter & son in law, Jennifer & Pete Avitabile of Alpharetta, GA; sister, Sue Hilson of Greer, SC; brother in law, Tony Perales of Stafford, VA; grandchildren, Sam Greene, Nick Greene, Kylie Avitabile, Kendall Avitabile and Benjamin Greene; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charitable organization of your choice.
