Noah Guthrie returns to Tryon Fine Arts Center’s Summer Series

Noah Guthrie

Noah Guthrie

Viral video star and Carolina celebrity Noah Guthrie performs at the Tryon Fine Arts Center on Thursday, June 2, at 7 p.m. in the Peterson Amphitheater. Born and raised in South Carolina, Noah has been steadily building a name for himself in the music business through his live performances and soulful cover videos and currently has over 53 million views on YouTube.

In May of 2012, Noah experienced the explosion that comes with a viral video when his blues-filled version of LMFAO’s “Sexy And I Know It” earned him more than eight million views in less than a week (now over 24 million views).

As a result, Noah was featured on NBC’s Today Show, Jay Leno’s Tonight Show, Dancing With The Stars and several U.S. and European Radio Stations. Covers of his version have been featured on the U.S. version of The Voice and The X Factor. Noah is also known for his pivotal role in the final season of GLEE.

During Noah’s young career he has had the chance to open for Ed Sheeran, Neon Trees, Ben Rector, Cobra Starship, Matisyahu, Matt Nathanson and Selena Gomez. While Noah’s live performances may be his favorite aspect of being a musician, with the production of his upcoming sophomore album, Noah has grown immensely as an artist.

He has had the chance to work with Matt Wertz, Gabe Dixon, Josiah Rosen (Augustana), Mher Filian (Selena Gomez), Matthew Perryman Jones, Isaac Hasson (Demi Lovato, Kris Allen, Hot Chelle Rae), Amy Stroup and Ben Rector among others, and continues to collaborate while simultaneously posting YouTube Covers.

Samples of his current sound are available on Noah’s website at only1noah.com or his popular YouTube channel at youtube.com/user/only1noah.

The Sunset Amphitheater Series is generously sponsored by the Plume Family Foundation and this concert is sponsored by Lichty Guitars. Admission is by donation at the door. Concessions will be available for purchase. In case of inclement weather, the event will move into the auditorium.

Information about the event is online at www.tryonarts.org or by calling 828-859-8322.
