Blue Ridge Railroad Loops featured at Blue Ridge Railroad Association meeting

The Blue Ridge Railroad Association is pleased to announce its next meeting, which will be held at the Landrum Depot on Thursday, March 10, 7 p.m. The speaker will be Steve Little, mayor of Marion, N.C., who will give a presentation on the building of the Blue Ridge Railroad Loops in the late 1800s between Old Fort and Ridgecrest, N.C.

 

Mr. Little has written three books on the subject and has given numerous presentations to various groups over the last 25 years. Movie time will follow with one or two railroad videos shown. The association does not charge for admission nor are there any membership requirements.
