Upcoming June events at FENCE

On Saturday, June 4, at 10 a.m., Carlton Burke will lead Walk on the Wild Side. Burke will be visiting FENCE and leading a nature hike on the property. Meet at the FENCE nature center for a guided hike with this wonderful guide. He brings along much expertise. This hike will focus on all things encountered along the way.

 

On Saturday, June 11, at 2 p.m., Joyce Pearsall will give a Monarch butterfly talk. Local Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist Joyce Pearsall, will visit FENCE to discuss Monarch Butterflies and their importance to the environment. We will also take a short walk to the butterfly garden on FENCE property, which is maintained by the Daffy Jills Garden Club and is also a Certified Monarch Waystation.

 

Christine Mariotti will hold a Wine and Paint Night, Thursday, June 23, at 6 p.m. Be sure not to miss out on this wine and paint night. All supplies for the evening will be included in the price. We will be working in acrylic paint. Beginner painters always welcome. Please reserve a seat in advance, space is limited for this event.

 

On Sunday, June 26, at 4 p.m. there will be a family concert with Deb Bridges and the Groove, a one-of-a-kind trio playing a variety of jazz, blues, funk, and 70’s pop music, everything from Duke Ellington and Herbie Hancock to Santana and Aretha Franklin. This trio consists of Deb Bridges on piano, Denny Lee on bass, and John Burke on drums.
