Landrum’s Foothills Amish Furniture staff completes extensive training
Members of the Foothills Amish Furniture sales team, located in Landrum, S.C., recently completed an extensive training program. Foothills staff members Andrew Nolt, Cyndy Mulligan, Landon Schlabach and Eric Serafini participated in the nearly nine month process that focused on the fundamentals of room design as well as customer service. The course is provided by the Furniture Training Company, and is offered to furniture sales professionals worldwide.
“I feel more well rounded,” said Schlabach, a three-year veteran for the store. “It gave us the necessary knowledge to talk to people and figure out their furniture needs.”
Individual topics included color coordination, accessorizing, furniture placement and design styles. The team plans to use the knowledge gained to provide not only the right pieces of furniture to serve as both functional and aesthetic additions to the customer’s current home setup, but also have the ability to build a room from the ground up and expand the business’ home design service.
“The skills and knowledge they received from the training sets them apart from other sales people,” said Foothills Amish Furniture owner, Matt Troyer. “They can help you choose the best upholstery or leather for the furniture for you home, and I am pleased to say they are ready and able to serve.”
