Christmas Express showered children with gifts

The Christmas Spirit was alive and well in Saluda these past few weeks! All 37 children registered for the Christmas Express were showered with gifts, as well as a few families that were nominated later. Citizens and businesses alike donated hundreds of dollars in gifts and cash donations to make this drive a success. Assistant City Clerk, Jessica Desiano also purchased 80 fleece blankets for our seniors at Autumn Care. She felt they needed to be remembered this time of year as well. She, along with City Manager Jon Cannon and his family, Chief Cantrell, and Officer Rickman visited Autumn Care on a Monday night and passed out the blankets and were rewarded with tons of smiles! Remember, even though Christmas has passed, it is never too early to make a monetary donation to help us prepare for next season. We will start accepting toys in November 2016.
