Ready to get up and dance in the aisles? You won’t be able to help it when the power pop kid’s band Big Bang Boom arrives on March 19 for Super Saturday!

As children of the ‘70s and ‘80s, with influences ranging from the Bee Gees and KISS to Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, and U2, Big Bang Boom is all about what makes pop popular. While mixing alt rock, hip-hop, punk, and country, the three devoted dads, who also happen to be professional musicians, offer “on-message” lyrics praised by Parenting Magazine as “primed for the sandbox set.”

Big Bang Boom will play an array of super-charged classic tunes, including a fast-paced, non-stop-bouncing rendition of “5 Little Monkeys,” an everyone-is-in-the-band-singing-the-chorus version of “Spongebob Squarepants,” a follow-the-leader style “The Ants Go Marching,” and a kids vs. parents contest, in the form of the band’s famous “Great ‘Hokey Pokey’ Showdown.”

Look for Big Bang Boom on Super Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Church. For more information about the day’s events, visit us on Facebook or online at tryonsupersaturday.com.
