Columbus—Terri Owens Campbell passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 31, 2025. 

She was the daughter of the late James Grady “Speck” Owens and Hazel Louise Cochran Owens. Terri was no stranger to hard work. She was a talented hair stylist and was the owner of Uptown Girl Salon in Columbus, NC. Terri retired last year to become a full-time caregiver to her husband, Rick. Terri loved her dogs, Hinson and Sadie. She had an outgoing personality and was a wonderful friend to so many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Diane “Cindy” Owens, and many aunts and uncles.

Surviving is her husband, Rick Campbell; her stepdaughters, Lindsey Campbell Koehle, Brooke Campbell Russell and Cassidy Campbell Huss; four grandchildren; one sister, Sherrie Owens; one brother, Steve Owens; a loving nephew, Josh Owens; a loving niece, Chelsea Morris, a great nephew, Carson Burnett and a great-niece, Reese Owens. Also surviving are many dear friends that were like family to her.

A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at McFarland Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Chad Bowen.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
