Louise M. Kaufman, 94, of Tryon, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Louise was born in Watertown, NY, the daughter of Raymond and Kathleen Wager.

Louise was predeceased by her beloved husband, Howard J. Kaufman, in 2000. They married in 1954 and adventured throughout the country together.

Louise was a homemaker and an administrative assistant and enjoyed helping the military community and organizing social groups wherever she was. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Wager and Frank Wager, and her sisters, Marie Ingalsbe, Eleanor Howland, and Alma Martell. 

Surviving to honor her memory are her children Kristine (John) Dannecker of East Haddam, CT, and Thomas (Wendy Wipperman) Kaufman of Columbus, NC; her grandchildren Rebecca (Rafael) dos Santos and John (Alisa) Dannecker; her great-grandchildren Aubrey, Kyle, Evie, Ethan, Graham, Joel and Lexi, and many nieces and nephews. 

Internment will be in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
