Inaugural event to be held at the Saluda Inn
SALUDA—On Thursday, September 19, the Saluda Pantry is hosting its first annual fundraiser.
The funds raised will enable the Pantry to continue efforts to reduce food insecurity in the community. The fundraiser will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Saluda Inn.
Each month, the Saluda Pantry serves an average of 400 households in Polk and Henderson counties. This amounts to around 1,200 individuals provided with essential and nutritious food every week of the year. Although some of the food distributed is donated, the Pantry also purchases a large percentage of items to provide enough supplemental food for everyone who enters its doors.
The fundraiser will be a fantastic evening of delectable foods and libations at the cash bar, as well as a truly impressive menu of auction items, including outdoor adventure experiences and pieces of one-of-a-kind local artwork. The full list of auction items can be viewed at the Saluda Pantry website.
Tickets for the event are limited and can be purchased at saludapantry.com, Heartwood Gallery, or the Saluda Pantry on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saluda Pantry is located at 54 Carolina Street.
