Patriot Day to take place at Landrum Depot
LANDRUM— On Wednesday, September 11, Landrum Fire & Rescue will conduct its annual observance of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks against the United States. The memorial will take place at the Landrum Depot.
The Landrum Fire Department will honor and memorialize the nearly 3,000 victims who lost their lives on that tragic day, including the many responders who risked their own lives to save others during the deadliest terrorist attack in history.
On September 4, 2002, President George Bush proclaimed September 11 as the first Patriot Day. Each year, crowds across the country remember the life-changing events in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The fire department invites the community to pay its respects.
The memorial will begin at 6 p.m. The Landrum Depot is located at 211 North Trade Ave.
