Paul Pike Pullen, III, 76, passed away on August 1, 2024, at Terra Bella Senior Living Facility in Spartanburg, S.C.
Paul was born to Paul Pike Pullen II and Veda Tomich Pullen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he attained his MBA. After graduation, he moved to Florida and worked in banking, real estate, and construction. He had two sons, Paul Pike Pullen IV, and Casey Dean Pullen, with his first wife, Winnifred Loriaux Robbins. In 1991, Paul moved to Tryon, N.C. to be closer to family and continue his work in real estate and construction. He became a member of the Tryon Chamber of Commerce and successfully established and operated Town and Country Realtors and A.M. Construction for over 30 years.
He married Robin Dillard Pullen in 1998, and they shared twenty-six happy years of marriage together. They settled around Lake Lanier, S.C, and immensely enjoyed the community they created there.
As a longtime member of the Tryon Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Paul worshiped with family and friends and sang along to every hymn. He dearly loved music and was often the first one on the dance floor. He also had a witty sense of humor and was always quick with a clever joke.
Paul was fond of the outdoors and spending time in nature, which became a lifelong passion of his. He enjoyed all the activities living on the lake had to offer in addition to playing tennis and traveling. He was a loyal friend, adoring husband, loving father, and doting grandfather. Paul will be greatly missed by many.
Paul is predeceased by his mother and father as well as his brothers John Pullen, Dean Pullen, and James Chase. He is survived by his wife Robin Dillard Pullen, sons, Paul Pike Pullen IV (Angela) and Casey Dean Pullen (Cortney Ashley), granddaughter, Elizabeth Quinn Pullen as well as extended family members Brandon Stephens, Ashley Stephens, Jack Stephens, and Maisie Stephens.
The funeral service will be held at the Tryon Holy Cross Episcopal Church on August 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with a reception immediately following to receive friends.
The family would like to thank the Tryon community, Lake Lanier residents, Terra Bella Senior Living Facility, and Agape-Hospice for their support over the years.
