The Tryon Country Club Men’s Golf Association played a Texas Scramble on Monday, July 29, along with closest-to-the-pin contests on the par 3’s’ The scoring was low, and it was very competitive. The results were as follows:

 

1st place – Bill Basye, George Torres, Mel Graf, John House – 26

2nd place – Doug Gelbert, Tom Murdoch, Art Brown, Charles McKeller – 27

3rd place – Jerry Perry, Dave Gunter, Don Jaeger, Roger Dehnel – 28

4th place – John Schickling, Dennis Felker, Mike Axelrod, Tom Bolling – 29

#3 – George Torres – 10’ 4”
