Photographer Ralph Mayer to be guest speaker at next Saluda Train Tales

SALUDA—Photographer Ralph Mayer was recently announced as the guest speaker for the next Saluda Train Tales presentation. Mayer’s topic will be “Photography and Trains.”
Mayer, a Saluda resident, loves all kinds of outdoor activities and finding and photographing beautiful scenes around Saluda and Western North Carolina. He especially enjoys photographing natural scenes that bring joy and peace to the viewer.
Over the years, he has photographed for magazines, websites, corporations, higher-education institutions, and more.
Having grown up in a railroad family and even worked on the railroad himself, Ralph also volunteers as a docent at the Historic Saluda Depot Museum.
The July Saluda Train Tales will take place at the Saluda Historic Depot on July 19 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Saluda Historic Depot is located at 32 W. Main Street.
