Annual event to feature fireworks, vendors

COLUMBUS- On Friday it was announced that amusement rides will not be a part of this year’s Fabulous 4th of July event in Columbus.

The rides will not be part of the event due to the previous ride vendors selling their company sometime after last year’s event.

Previous year’s events featured a large ferris wheel, a carousel and spinning rides, among other attractions.

The Town of Columbus is in search of a new ride vendor to take part in next year’s Fabulous 4th of July.

Although the traditional rides will be absent, many other kids attractions will be available such as bounce houses, a huge slide and obstacle courses.

The bounce houses and other attractions will open on Tuesday, July 4 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Fabulous 4th of July promises to have all other regular fun such as live music performances, games, food, crafts and the grand finale firework show to end the night.
