McClure is the executive chef and co-owner of Southside Smokehouse and Grille in Landrum.

Making her second appearance on Guy’s Grocery Games after finishing in second place in 2020, McClure competed in unique challenges created by celebrity chef, Guy Fieri.

Last week’s redemption episode gave previous contestants another chance to take home the title.

Although McClure didn’t make the final two this time around, she was proud to represent the Upstate.

“I’m obviously super proud to represent Landrum and South Carolina and just the South in general,” McClure says. “Southern cooking is really having a moment right now, but I think a lot of times it’s still very pigeon-holed.”

Guy’s Grocery Games pits four contestants against each other, challenging them to cook up something of Fieri’s choice after quickly looking for ingredients in Flavortown Market, the show’s own grocery store.

After returning home, McClure special ordered some of the unique ingredients she used in the show to introduce a new dish to the menu of Southside Smokehouse.

“We actually have this dish on the menu at the smokehouse right now,” she says. “You can try the dish that I cooked on Food Network.” The TV-worthy dish is petite lamb chops, fiddlehead fern shoots, morel mushrooms and Merguez sausage over ricotta whipped sweet potato and a ricotta mint cream sauce.
