Happy Heifers Cafe & Ice Creamery will be opening its doors, offering art, gift items and 28 flavors of Hershey’s ice cream.

“We will have a flavor for everyone,” says owner Bruce Waters. “From common flavors like vanilla and strawberry, to specialty flavors like apple pie and red velvet.”

Happy Heifers Cafe & Ice Creamery will be serving up other treats as well, including low-fat frozen yogurt and vegan options.

In addition to ice cream, the cafe will be serving burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, soups and salads once it is fully operational in August. It will also offer southern-style dinners that will change daily.

The gift shop at Happy Heifers Cafe & Ice Creamery offers a variety of items, such as tee shirts, logo cups, porcelain miniature trucks, Star Wars collectibles and much more. The shop will also have crafts from local artists and asks anyone who wants to showcase their art to consign with the gift shop.

Waters’ sister, Tami Ramsey, will be operating the business. Both Waters and Ramsey are Polk County natives.

“We want to become a staple in the community, a place where you feel welcome and continue to come back to.” says Waters. “We look forward to making your family our family, to sharing memories and to making new ones.”

Happy Heifers Cafe & Ice Creamery is located at 5807 Hwy. 9 N. in Mill Spring. Its hours are 12 to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
