Polk County summer farmers markets begin on May 5

It’s time for fresh vegetables, fragrant spices and brightly colored fruits.

The summer market season is here.

The Saluda Tailgate Market kicks off the season from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 5, on West Main Street. Visitors can come out and peruse an amazing selection of fresh produce, wildcrafted products and much more.

The Columbus Farmers Market goes from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 6, at Courthouse Square. An incredible selection of locally grown fruits and veggies will be available, as well as artisanal goods, baked treats and more. 

Mark your calendars and come out to support local farmers and artisans.
