Spring Fever Family Fun Fest to be held at Harmon Field this Saturday

Annual Event will feature fun, food and education

 

TRYON – In recognition of April being Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the annual Spring Fever Family Fun Fest will be held this Saturday, April 22 at Harmon Field in Tryon.

The event will feature food trucks, event T-shirts, music, games, prizes, a balloon artist, a caricaturist, inflatables and free giveaways. This year will also see the first appearance by Ed’s Dinosaurs Live, an organization that entertains and educates children with realistic replicas of dinosaurs based out of Concord, N.C.

The festival is sponsored by Polk County Community Foundation, Polk County Community Child Protection Team, Steps to HOPE, Polk County Division of Social Services, Polk County Public Health and Outreach.

The Spring Fever Family Fun Fest will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and will be free and open to the public.  More information can be found by contacting (828) 894-2340.
