Bluegrass on the Lake to feature Appalachian Road Show

On Saturday, June 10, the Lake Lure Music Festival will feature a night of bluegrass music with Appalachian Road Show on the beautiful shores of Lake Lure at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure.  

 

Appalachian Road Show includes GRAMMY-nominated and IBMA Award-winning artists Barry Abernathy on banjo, nosehorn, whistles, vocals; Jim VanCleve on fiddles, vocals; 

Darrell Webb on mandolin, octave mandolin, banjo, vocals; Zeb Snyder on guitars, slide guitar, vocals; and Todd Phillips on bass, bowed bass, vibraslap, vocals. Members have performed with artists including Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, Josh Turner, Ricky Skaggs, Rhonda Vincent, JD Crowe and more.

 

“There are singers and there are musicians, and then there are “Artists,” says Jerry Salley, A&R/Creative Director with Billy Blue Records. “Appalachian Road Show are genuine ‘Artists’ in every sense of the word. The amount of time, research, and preparation they pour into every song is a true testament to their commitment in preserving the Appalachian history and culture.”
