In Polk County District Court on March 1, 2023, with Judge Kim Justice presiding, 64 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

 

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Jeremy Babdock was convicted of driving while impaired. Babdock was sentenced to 60 days in jail, suspended with 12 months of unsupervised probation, a $200 fine and 24 hours of community service.

 

Donna Faye Bridges was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Bridges was fined $30 and court costs.

 

Arturo Javie Ferretiz was convicted of speeding. Ferretiz was fined $25 and court costs.

 

Nicholas Wesley Jolly was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Jolley was sentenced to 6 to 17 months in jail, with 106 days time served.

 

Amber Lynn Maefs was convicted of driving while impaired. Maefs was sentenced to 12 months in jail, suspended with 12 months of supervised probation. She must serve 7 of those days in jail, with 4 days time served, and was fined $200.

 

Elida Meijia-Garcia was convicted of speeding. Meijia-Garcia was fined $40 and court costs.

 

Kristiahna Sabree Roy was convicted of simple assault and communication threats. Roy was sentenced to 1 day in jail with time served, and must pay court costs and a jail fee.

 

Donald Cade Selvy was convicted on two counts of indecent exposure. Selvy was sentenced to 7 days in jail, with time served. 

 

Isa Turrubiartescielo was convicted of careless and reckless speeding. Turrubiartescielo was fined $103 and court costs.
