LOOKING AHEAD: Cooler temps and wet weather arrive mid-week

FOOTHILLS–After warm and dry conditions over the weekend, Tryon and the surrounding area can expect slightly cooler days ahead, followed by rain chances later in the week.

According to weather.com, Monday will see a high of 73 degrees and lows in the 50s, with partly cloudy skies and only a 5% chance of showers.

Tuesday looks to be generally sunny, with a high temperature of 72 and lows near 40 degrees.

Cloud coverage should increase Wednesday, with highs in the mid-60s and lows again reaching 40.

On Thursday, expect cooler temps and increased rain chances, with a high of 60 degrees and steady showers in the evening.

It looks like cloudy skies and intermittent rain showers are in stores for Friday, with a high of 56 degrees and an overnight low in the low 40s.

Saturday looks to be cool and wet, with rain chances and mostly cloudy skies, and a high temperature of 62. Sunday’s projected high of 53 and low of 36 bring the potential for snow mixed with rain in the evening hours.
